"Duse's Fever"
The monologue 'Duse’s Fever' written and performed by Mica Bagnasco is a fifty minutes one woman show about the life of legendary Italian actress Eleonora Duse, as told from the prospective of the woman who served her and shared her obsessions; Nina, her dresser. Duse was Chekhov’s muse, Shaw's inspiration, Ibsen’s champion, Bernhardt's better and first female on the cover of Time Magazine.

Mica Bagnasco is dazzling in telling the story of the indomitable diva Eleonora Duse through her dresser Nina…letting us into a reality as dramatic and poignant as any of the roles Duse portrayed on stage. Bagnasco shines in her moments of beautifully sincere rage."

" Tour de force is not a term used lightly by this critic, but Bagnasco's characterization of Nina, Duse's dresser, is just that - a compelling and at times deeply moving performance.
